Essential Wine Tools
Let’s start with more practical (but still stylish) wine related gifts that wine lovers actually use. These are the tools that make the everyday wine experience just a little bit better.
Wine Foil Cutter

Rabbit Wine Bottle Foil Cutter
Buy Now →This might seem small, but a good foil cutter is one of those things that once you have it, you fully appreciate it. It removes the foil cleanly in seconds, and it’s so much more safe than away with a knife, or just trying to pull the cork through the foil with a wine screw. Look for one that’s compact and fits right in a drawer or on a bar cart. If you are gifting a nice corked bottle of wine, this is a very budget friendly addition. Many people I know who love wine, do not have one of these one hand. And, if you happen to gift it and they already have one, then they can have one for a kitchen drawer and another for a bar cart.

Printworks The Essentials Wine Tools Set

Printworks The Essentials, Wine Tools – Wine Bottle Opener, Stopper, Pourer & Collar Set
Buy Now →This lovely set comes with everything you need—corkscrew, foil cutter, pourer, stopper—all in a sleek, coordinated design, in a trendy package. It’s one of those cool gifts for wine lovers that looks beautiful displayed but is also totally functional. The modern aesthetic makes it perfect for someone who appreciates good design.
Electric Wine Opener

Rabbit Compact Electric Wine Opener – Electric Corkscrew, Rechargeable and Portable
Buy Now →For someone who opens bottles frequently (or anyone who struggles with traditional corkscrews), an electric wine opener makes the process so simple. With the press of a button, the cork glides out effortlessly. This feels a bit fancy and a little indulgent, which is exactly the vibe we want for a wine gift!
Wine Markers or Wine Charms

LuLu Wine Glass Markers – Metallic Colors 6 Pens Pack
Buy Now →Have you seen these? You probably have. These are another affordable and helpful option for anyone who hosts wine tastings, parties, or book club. A simple wine marker is a game changer. Simply write the individual’s name on the glass and you’ll drastically cut down on the, “is this one yours or mine?” talk. There are also many versions of decorative tags or charms that attach to wine glass stems so guests can keep track of their glasses. They’re functional while adding a festive touch. Another option is to make your own (which I did for my Aperol Spritz birthday!) with wine glass charm rings and your beads of choice (these are cute). My friend did a fun spin off of the charms from my party and made these beautiful honeybee themed charms:

Wine Preservation Gifts
These unique gifts for wine lovers will ensure that that special bottle of wine does not go to waste.
Coravin Wine Preservation System

Coravin Timeless Three Plus Wine Preservation System
Buy Now →This is one of my favorite-ever wine gifts I’ve received. Sometimes I want a glass of wine, but don’t have anyone to share the bottle with and certainly don’t want to drink the whole thing myself! The Coravin allows you to pour wine without removing the cork, so the rest of the bottle stays perfectly preserved. It is an investment piece, but it’s the kind of gift that completely changes how you can enjoy wine. You can open a lovely bottle without feeling the pressure to finish it within a day or two. (Note: this only works for corked wines) I have the Coravin Pivot which is the most affordable option (the cork does get removed and replaced with the provided Coravin stopper) and the bottle can then last up to four weeks. I love it so much.

Wine Stoppers

Wine Stoppers Vacuum for Wine Bottles – 2-Pack
Buy Now →A set of high-quality wine stoppers is one of those gifts that seems simple but is so consistently useful. I do often find that these are easy to lose or lend out, so it’s helpful to have several on hand, especially if your gift recipient is someone who likes to host parties or get togethers, and may have several bottles open at once. Look for ones that create a tight seal—some even have date markers so you can track when the bottle was opened. They’re practical and pretty, especially if they come in a nice gift box.
Wine Fridge

Electactic Wine Cooler Refrigerator, 37 Bottle Freestanding Cabinet Wine Fridge
Buy Now →Aside from gifting beautiful wines, a wine fridge is the ultimate wine-centered gift, in my opinion. If you want to go big with luxury gifts for wine lovers, a wine fridge is absolutely incredible. It keeps bottles at the perfect temperature and humidity, and it’s a gift that is useful and will be appreciated for years. This is definitely a splurge, but for wine lovers and those who enjoy hosting (whether casually or formally), this is so useful. It also helps so a bunch of bottles don’t take up room in the kitchen fridge. There are many options based on height, width, and built-in and free standing options (many can do both — just check before you buy).

Kalamera 15 Inch Wine Cooler Refrigerator – 30 Bottle Under Counter Mini Fridge
Buy Now →Beautiful Decanters & Serving Pieces
These pieces elevate the whole wine experience and make stunning gifts.
Decanter

Godinger Wine Decanter Carafe, Hand Blown
Buy Now →A hand-blown glass decanter with a wide base is super functional, but also quite pretty. It lets wine breathe properly while looking kind of like a piece of art on the table (or the counter). Decanters are typically used for red wines, but can also be used for some white wines.
Single Serving Glass Wine Carafe

Libbey Single Serving Wine Carafe – 6.5 oz Pack of 2
Buy Now →This is such a clever idea and I think makes the wine drinking experience just that — an experience! A wine carafe holds a single serving, lets the wine breathe, and looks so much more special than drinking straight from the bottle. You’ve probably seen these used to serve a glass of wine in restaurants.
Wine Glasses

Balloon Colored Wine Glasses Set of 6, 15oz Hand Blown
Buy Now →I know wine glasses are an obvious choice, but hear me out. I am a wine glass LOVER! Well, I’m a glass lover in general. I really enjoy having various types (white, red, stemmed, stemless, colored, clear) to meet the occasion. My friends have a lot of fun with this too and enjoy choosing their glass or letting me surprise them! It elevates the experience a bit and makes everything a bit more playful. Here are a few of my favorites:

Gorgeous Wine-Scented Candles
These wine-scented candles smell so good, and are really on point! They are not overpowering like some candles.
Rewined Candles

Rewined – Merlot Scented Candles(10oz)- Notes of Violet, Plum and Tobacco Leaf, Nontoxic Candles
Buy Now →
Buy Now →
Buy Now → These candles are incredible and come in varietals like Merlot (rich notes of plum and black cherry), Pinot Noir (lighter with strawberry and spice), Chardonnay (buttery vanilla and citrus), and Sauvignon Blanc (crisp with grapefruit and fresh-cut grass notes). Each one is crafted to smell like the actual wine, capturing those complex notes of fruit, oak, and terroir. They come in real wine bottles that have been repurposed, which makes them even more special.
“Home Sick” Wine Country Candle
This one captures the essence of California wine country with notes of grapevine, fig, and sun-warmed earth. It’s perfect for anyone who loves Napa or Sonoma, or dreams of visiting. The branding is beautiful and modern too.
Beautiful Wine Books & Exciting Learning Experiences
For the wine lover who wants to deepen their knowledge or just enjoys beautiful books, these wine gift ideas provide all the good info.
Wine Books
There are so many gorgeous wine books out there. Look for beautifully photographed guides to wine regions, comprehensive tasting guides, or memoirs from vintners and sommeliers. Wine Folly, Wine Simple, and Rebel School of Wine are all great and accessible, but there are also stunning coffee table books like The Sommelier’s Atlas of Taste and Wineries of the World that make incredible gifts.
***
Box of the Month Club
A Box of the Month Club like this popular one is one of those gifts for people who enjoy wine, as well as a gift that keeps on giving with a bottle of wine to your door each month! This one in particular is paired with a Sommelier-led tasting video, tasting notes, and pairing suggestions. It’s a super accessible way to try something new, with a guided experience!
Virtual Wine Tasting Class or Club
This is such a special experience gift. Many wine experts and sommeliers offer live virtual tastings where they ship wines ahead of time and then guide participants through tasting them together online. It’s educational, social, and creates a memory—not just another object to store. You could also gift a wine tasting club experience, which creates community and the excitement to return monthly to connect with newfound friends with similar interests.
Wine Aroma Kit
A wine aroma kit is for the friend who really appreciates finding the notes of a wine. Some people simply love to drink wine, and others love to understand the layers of the wine. A wine aroma kit comes with many aromas for smelling which are typically found in wines. Sommeliers perfect their noses with kits such as these. A wine aroma kit is next level for the friend who swirls and sniffs their wine before taking a sip.
Wine Tasting Kit
If it’s holiday time, consider this super popular 12 Nights of Wine or 24 Nights of Wine kit — you can choose from “bright” or “bold”. This is an awesome gift for a wine lover who is exploratory and enjoys beautiful packaging (elegant glass tubes in a gorgeous gift box? Yes, please!). This offers a gift to look forward to each night as the holiday season unveils itself.
Thoughtful Personalized Gifts
New-to-Them Wines
This is honestly one of my favorite gift ideas. Pay attention to what they usually drink, then work with a good wine shop to find similar but undiscovered bottles. Include a handwritten card with the tasting notes and why you thought they’d enjoy it. It’s personal, shows you pay attention, and introduces them to something new. I just did this for a close friend’s birthday and was so excited to gift this to her. It felt thoughtful and exciting and every bottle she opens, she can look for the notes I included on the card, and think of me!

Wine Journal
A beautiful journal specifically designed for recording tasting notes, favorite bottles, and wine memories is such a thoughtful gift. Some have prompts and space for ratings, which helps develop their palate over time. It becomes a keepsake of their wine journey.
Gift Card for Artisan Cheese with Wine Pairing Suggestions
Pair a gift card to a local cheese shop or artisan food purveyor with your own handwritten pairing suggestions. Tell them which cheeses to try with their favorite wines. It’s practical but personalized, and it feels special — you’ve put thought into their whole tasting experience.
Beaded Purse Featuring Champagne
How chic is this? A vintage-inspired beaded clutch with champagne or wine bottle designs is perfect for someone who loves a statement accessory. It’s conversation-starting and playful—ideal for wine-themed events or just someone who loves a bit of whimsy.

Outdoor Wine Covers
These are so clever! These mesh covers keep bugs out of wine glasses at outdoor events, and they’re weighted so they don’t blow away. Practical and actually pretty, which is a rare combination. Perfect for anyone who loves al fresco dining.
Travel Wine Carrier
A padded, secure carrier protects bottles whether they’re bringing wine to a dinner party or packing it in luggage for a trip. Look for ones that are stylish—not just functional. Some even have shoulder straps and insulation.
Portable Wine Tumblers
Wine tumblers are perfect for outdoor concerts, camping, picnics, or any BYO situation. They’re practical gifts for people who like wine but don’t want to spill all over themselves when they’re on the go.
Hydroflask Ceramic Wine Carrier
This insulated wine carrier keeps bottles at the perfect temperature for hours and has a gorgeous ceramic coating. It’s both cute and tough enough for adventures. The Hydroflask quality means it’s built to last.
Wine Folly Tasting Placemats
These educational guides from Wine Folly help identify tasting notes and aromas. They make the experience more interactive and help develop a more sophisticated palate.
___
You’ve made it through this extensive wine lovers gift guide! If you’re thinking about what would be the right fit, take into account if your gift recipient is a serious collector or casual sipper. Do they love learning and experimenting, or do they have their tried-and-true favorites? Are they all about the aesthetic and ambiance, or is it purely about what’s in the glass? This will give you a great sense of direction for your wine gift ideas.
I hope this gift guide helps you find something perfect for your wine lover! If you’re visiting family or friends this holiday season and would like suggestions for hostess gifts, this post or this post will help you find a great fit!
